Drop Procedure (New Syntax)

Syntax: Drop procedure [schema] name [cascade]

Description: Drops a procedure created by creating a procedure from the database Catalog. If cascading abruptly is defined, dependent objects will also be dropped. Otherwise, they are invalidated. After cascading drop, a procedure with the same name can be created which can make the previously invalidated dependent objects valid again.

Procedure Calls: A procedure can be called by the client or the outermost level using any of the separated client interfaced or within the body of the procedure. CALLS – PROCEDURE CALLED FROM CLIENT (DEPRECATED) SYNTAX)

SYNTAX: CALLS [schema.] name (paraml[,…])

Example: CREATE FUNCTION GET OUTPUT (IN CUT INT EUR, IN currency VARCHAR (3),

OUT output – puts it –publishers,

OUT output –year It – years) If the above function is called using

Calls get output (1000,”’ EUR”’, ot—publishers, null);

Internal Procedure Syntax CALLS [schema.] name (@ assigned – variable@ borrd  – variable)

Example Calls add a discount (@1^st – expensive-books@, it – on – sale_;

Example Calls add a discount (@1^st – expensive-books@, it – on – sale_; Add discount function is called. The variable@ it_expensive – books@ is assigned to the function and the variable IT – on – sales is bound by this function call.

Note For procedures CALLS will be sup laced by call <procedure Name> (<procedure parameters>)  or Call <procedure name> (<procedure parameters>) With overviews

Call – Procedure Called From Client (New Syntax)

SYNTAX: CALL [SCHEMA.] name ( parmlt,….])

Example: CALL add a discount (books, Null. ?):  

Call – With Overview From Client (New Syntax)

SYNTAX: CALL [SCHEMA.] name (param [,…]) with an overview

Example: CREATE FUNCTION get output (in cut integer, in currency, VARCHAR (3), OUT      output – puts tt – publishers, OUT      output –year tt-years) If the above procedure CALL get output (100, “’ EUR”’, ot – publishers, null) with overviews;  

Returns the following table:
