To create packages by providing NAME, Description, Delivery unit, Language, End-user Responsibilities

Attribute View: To create Attribute views By providing name description & package

Here we can create

Standard view                            (user-defined)

Time-based                               (To maintain time-related data)

Desired &                                  (it takes to copy from already existing view & we can’t change the structure)

Copy From                                 (Here we can take a copy from the already existing view & wean change the structures)

Analytic view: To create an Analytic view By providing Name, Description (And Provide tables, Attributes views based on requirement)

Calculated views: To create a calculated view by providing Name, description, & package & type

Here we can create two types of calculated views

1) GRAPHICAL & By using tables, views (Attribute, analytically calculated views)

2) SCRIPT (By using a script, output structure & input structures)

Analytic privileges: To create privileges on all views by Name, description of analytic privileges

PROCEDURES: To create procedures for calculated views by Name, Description, Schema, and package run with Access mode.

Schema: Here we can select our required schema

Run with: Definers Rights (Definer only can execute this procedure)

Invokers Rights (To excite this procedure by end-user)

Access modes: Read-only (After defining the procedure only we can read)

Read, write (After defining the procedure we can edit write modes)

1) from the data connection wizard: (import data for an unlisted from format by using the Data Connection Wizard and OLE DB)

2) From MICROSFT QUERY: (import data from an unlisted format by using the Microsoft Query Wizard and ODBC)

Configuring end-user clients

MS- Excel as an end-user for SAP HANA and the SAP Business objects BI clients can access SAP HANA by means of the SAP IN memory Database (IMDB) client.

The IMDB client 1.0 comprises the following interfaces/driers.

IMDB ODBC 1.0

IMDB ODBC 1.0

IMDB JDBC 1.0

IMDB SQLDBC 1.0

Connecting views to Excel (From data connection wizard Open excl ------ Go to data tab Select from other sources and again select from Data connection wizard Will get Dialogue box about data connection wizard Select “other/advanced” Next

  • In the provider (tab) select “SAP HANA MDX Provider”
  • Next
  • Connection tab provides

In the next dialogue box ------- select ------- package

Note:

Will get only analytical & calculated views

In the next window will get the file name (here we can Change the file name & click on “Authentication Settings” --------- to provide authentication settings)

So, will get the Deluge box about importing data

So System will provide three types of formats

1) Table (hidden) we can’t import data in The form of a table)

2) Pivot Table Report

3) Pivot chat and pivot table Report

4) only create a connection

Click on Properties

In usage (tab)

NOTE: Data will Refresh for every specified minute

Refresh data when opening the file
