Business Rules in SAP BPC

Business Rules can be created for Planning as well as Consolidation models. Business rules is an essential setup area in a consolidation app.

It must be accessed by admin user.

-Business rules interface was rewritten to be part of the new web administration console.

-The business rules landing page offers a complete overview of all existing rules in the selected environment (type of rules activated per model, number of rules for each activated type)

-Access to the business rules is via the admin web client under the Rules selection.

The business rules landing page offers a complete overview of all existing rules in the selected environment (type of rules activated per model, number of rules for each activated type).

-The pop up dialog box shows all the rule types that has been enabled for the selected model.

-You can enable or disable the rule type for the selected Model.

-This eliminates the step required in earlier version where the rules was selected as part of the application creation process or to use the Web Admin Application parameters to enable business rules.

-The business rules has global definitions as well as a complete overview of all existing rules in the selected environment grouped by model.

-Global Definitions are part of the entire list of rules, that is, Methods and Method-based Multipliers will be independently listed, as they refer to the environment.
