Mutually Exclusive Checkbox Extender

This control is used with checkboxes to provide multiple options to the user using checkboxes and allow the user to select only one or none.

Used to specify a group name for checkboxes so that a set of mutually exclusive checkBoxExtenders will be treated as one group and allows the user to select only one or more from the group.

The following Example demonstrates how to use mutually

Exculsive CheckBOXExtender Control

Add a page to the website and then place a Toolkit Script manager & three checkboxes on it and set their ID’s as C1, C2, &C3 respectively. Also set a caption for all three checkboxes.

Within HTML source of the page drag & drop three mutuallyExclusiveChackBoxExtender control and set following properties for it.

<asp : MutuallyExtensivecheck Box Extender ID=”MutuallyExclusivecheckBoxExtender1” runat=”server” TargetControlID=”C1” key=”MyGroup”>

</asp : MutuallyExculsivecheckBoxExtender>

<asp:MutuallyExclusiveCheckBoxExtender2 Id=”MutuallyExclusiveCheckBoxExtender2” runat=”server” TargetControlID=”C2” Key=”mygroup”>

</asp: MutuallyExclusivecheckboxExtender>

<asp: MutuallyExclusiveCheckBoxExtener ID=” mutually Exclusive CheckBoxExtender3” runat=”server” TargetControlID=”c3” Key=”MyGroup”>

At runtime among these three checkboxes you can select only one or none, which is not possible with radio buttons.
