Course Overview
Apache TinkerPop is an open-source, vendor-agnostic, graph computing framework distributed under the commercial friendly Apache2 license. Gremlin is on its way to being the lingua franca for graph databases. It is supported by all the major graph database vendors, including Neo4j, DataStax and Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB. More than a language, Gremlin is a style of traversing graph data. It is implemented in Java, but through the use of Gremlin Language Variants (GLV) it has been implemented in several other popular languages such as Python, JavaScript, C# and others.
