<p>This feature enables the end-users to store the comments at the cell level in Data forms. Open your Data forms then select any valid cell and then click on edit, then click on cell text, which will popup a small window with a text box on POV, write any comment in there and click on submit. Then there will be a small icon that appeared in the corner of the cell; which indicates there is a cell text in the background of the cell. Note:- The cell text and supporting details will be stored at the RDBMS level.</p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #e67e23;"><strong>Supporting Details for a Data form</strong></span></h2>
<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Supporting Details enables the end-user to enter all the supporting calculations before deriving the final budgeting figure. <li>Write permission will enable the end-user not only to access the data form but can edit the data form definition.</li>

<p>Alias Tables are used to maintain the different names for a description for planning Dimension members. By default, we get One Alias table and we can create Nine (9) more Alias tables</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #e67e23;"><strong>Steps:-</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li>Open the planning application</li>
<li>Click on Administration</li>
<li>Click on Alias Tables</li>
<li>Click on Add</li>
<li>Enter the Name for Alias tables</li>
<li>Click on OK</li>
<li>Open any Dimension members</li>
<li>Click on Edit</li>
<li>Click on Dropdown list for Alias, there select the table that you have created just now, enter the appropriate alias name</li>
<li>Click on Save</li>
</ul>
<p>Now before UAT starts we have to train the End Users to set up the Alias table that is appropriate to his department using the following steps.</p>

<li>Click on Preferences</li>
<li>Click on Planning&rsquo;</li>
<li>Click on the Application&rsquo;s settings tab</li>
<li>Under the Alias setting, Click on the Dropdown list for your Alias table</li>

<p>Note:- To view the Alias names in a Data form, open the data form in Edit mode there select the Dimensions on row/column. Then click on an icon called dimension properties go-head and click on an icon called dimension called properties and by default, the display has been enabled for only member name. Select the checkbox for member Alias. Clicks submit and save.</p>

<p>The task is an activity such as Data entry, using a web form (or) executing a Business Rule. Tasks are created by the Administrator and assign these tasks to Users or Groups.</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #e67e23;"><strong>Steps:-</strong></span></h3>

<li>Open the planning application as an Administrator</li>
<li>Click on Administration</li>
<li>Click on Manage Tasklist</li>
<li>Click on create on your LHS to create the Tasklist folder</li>
<li>Click on create on your RHS to create a task list</li>
<li>Enter the appropriate name, and click on OK</li>
<li>Select the Task list and click on Edit</li>
<li>Another window will pop-up then clicks on the Add Child, Enter the Task Name and click on the Type drop-down list, choose appropriate types, such as Data form or Business rule or workflow&hellip;</li>
<li>Then enable the checkbox for a due date if you to specify the target Date, Month, Time to finish this task</li>
<li>Enable the checkbox on repeat and enter the required number of hours or days.</li>
<li>Similarly, enable the checkbox for the alert to enable the Email Notification for End-User</li>
<li>Set the Date &amp; Time</li>
<li>Enable the checkbox for repeat and enter the number of hours</li>
<li>Click on the property tab then it will display all the related planning objects according to your selection such as Data forms or Business Rules.</li>
<li>Click on Close</li>
<li>Now select Task list and then click on Assign Access, Click on Add-access, it will displays all users and groups. Select the required user or group and select the type of access. If type access is assigned then the same user needs to execute the task and if the type of access is managed then the user can reassign this task to someone else</li>
<li>Click on Add</li>
<li>Click on Close</li>
</ul>
<p>Now the End-user will receive a notification Email about the task assignment</p>

<li>He opens the planning application</li>
<li>Clicks on View</li>
<li>Click on Tasklist</li>
<li>A window will pop-up, expand the task list and Double click on the task list folder then click on the task list on your RHS. Then the task name will appear as an URL</li>
<li>Click on that; take appropriate action such as Date entry or Business Rule execution. Go back to the task list then enable the checkbox under complete then the status will be changed from Incomplete to complete</li>
<li>Click on Close</li>

<p>A Composite Data form was used to display more than one Data form in a single Data form Note:- Apart from Administrator an interactive user can also create a Task List and a planner cannot create a Tasklist</p>

<p>When a planning application is created by a technical Administrator, by default he acts as an application owner until he assigns someone like an application owner. The prerequisite to becoming an application owner, you should be provisioned with an Administration role under planning projects in shared services. Then log in to the planning application as an Administrator, click on Administration, Click on Application Settings then click on the Dropdown list under Assign Application owner, select appropriate user, and click on save.</p>

<li>A source plan type indicates which planning database is going to acts as a source for other planning databases.</li>
<li>Select the data type as currency if the account type is other saved assumptions.</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;">When you open a currency dimension, you will see one currency is added by default and that is reporting currency or Base currency according to the selection we have made at the time of application creation.</p>

<li>The standard target type version is used to maintain the data at the top level measures, such s profits. We assign this target type version to the top-level management which will enable them to enter the budget data at the top level in the account dimension hierarchy.</li>
<li>Standard button up type version will be used by the budget which will enable them to enter the budget data using low-level measures in an account dimension hierarchy.</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Once we built the metadata then we have to push this metadata, into the Essbase server by using the following steps.</p>

<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #e67e23;">Steps to create a data form:</span></h3>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Click on Administration</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Click on the manage data form</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Click on create on your LHS(Left Hand Side) to create a form folder, Provide a name and click OK</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Click on create on your RHS( Right Hand Side) to create a form, provide a name for the data form, and then choose the appropriate plan type and enable the checkbox for offline usage. If required to be used by an offline user</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Click on text</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Select Row and Column dimensions and then associate members</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">By default, it will show two rows and columns only and add more rows or columns click on the add dimension</span></li>

Then data will be submitted to planning cube on the Essbase server &nbsp; &ldquo;Data form is like a template or user interface to enter budget data by the end-users or planners&rdquo; &ldquo;A person whoever enters the budget data or forecast data is called a planner&rdquo; A planner can&rsquo;t create data forms, since there is no administration icon available in the toolbar when the planning application is opened from the workspace. Note: In the Essbase server, the security filter takes only 64kb In front end data form there is read, write, and none options, in that write is only for editing the data form &nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The prerequisite before proceeding with dimensional access is to have the provisioning done for all the users in shared services. also, we should enable the use of this application for all users from administrators under the maintenance mode of the application settings.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Login as administrator through the workspace open planning application then click on administration and click dimensions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Select on account dimensions&nbsp; &rarr;select account dimension member &rarr;click assign access</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A small window will pop-up, click on add access &rarr;then it displays a list of available users and groups who were not provided with any type of access on this member .</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&rarr;select the users or group, choose the type of access as read or write according to the security requirements.</span></p>
